Dog Days facilitates the transition of incoming students and their families to the university and prepares them for a successful educational experience.
During Dog Days, students will learn about university policies and procedures, meet with Academic Counselors and Peer Advisors to learn about General Education, Major Advising, and their chosen school/college in preparation for class registration.
Research indicates that new students who attend an orientation session stay in school, get better grades, graduate sooner, and are more satisfied with their college experience.
In order to give incoming students the best experience possible, Dog Days needs support to keep operations running smoothly, including things like facility rentals, lunches for the student orientation leaders, staffing, and other administrative needs. While these might seem mundane, Dog Days can’t support our newest Bulldogs without it. You can keep the lights on and make sure every incoming student has the support they need to succeed at Fresno State.
