Fresno State's 8th annual event was held virtually via Zoom on Friday, May 7, 2021. Nearly 60 students signed up to participate, which was our biggest year yet! Graduates were each outfitted in Rainbow Regalia – consisting of a medal, stole, and tassel. We want to thank each and every one of our 86 donors for providing $5,880 in funding to support this student-based initiative. We would not have had the success we did this year for our largest graduating class if it were not for your generous contributions to our cause.

Words cannot express how utterly amazed we are at what we were able to accomplish in 30 days. The month of April crowdfunding campaign was launched to uplift Rainbow Graduation Celebration, and additional student initiatives and programs such as Rainbow Prom. A total of $5,880 was raised by the Rainbow Alumni and Allies Club, with the support of 86 alumni, donors, friends, including three graduating students.  

The initial goal of $2,500 was SHATTERED, and 235% of the goal was reached. Up to 60 students are being outfitted (free-of-charge) in rainbow regalia consisting of a medal, stole, and tassel. It was through the collaborative effort of our community that we were able to achieve something so great. With that, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

On behalf of the Rainbow Alumni and Allies Club, we are truly humbled by the amount of support from our community to honor and celebrate our 2021 graduates! This is proof of our dedication to our future Bulldog leaders who carry our their work with pride.

Because of this support, we have been able to purchase an additional 12 sets of regalia (medal, stole, and tassel), totaling 48 sets! This means we have the opportunity to provide more students with regalia free-of-charge, allowing them to showcase their pride without the worry of how to pay for the set.

Even though we are winding down, this does not mean that we should lose steam! Thus, we are setting a new goal of "Fifteen in Fifteen"! Help us by sharing our efforts with family and friends as we shoot for a new total of 65 unique donors to our cause!

Once again, we are so grateful to have so many supporters of our tremendously talented students, showcasing that our community continues to remain strong!

On behalf of the Rainbow Alumni and Allies Club, and our many deserving and talented students, I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done to support our amazing students by helping us reach our goal in less than a week! You have displayed such compassion and dedication to our students and shows that our Bulldog pride is strong within our community.

However, there is more work to be done. Although we have reached our monetary goal, our work doesn't stop when it comes to supporting our LGBTQ+ students at Fresno State. We have the opportunity to advocate and support our students on campus and impact them in unimaginable ways.

With that, please join us as we strive to hit 50 donors, a record number! Please share with everyone you know and help us promote pride and advance advocacy for our students for years to come!
