Hello everyone:
A million thanks to all who donated. We are at 22,400, with a strong possibility of reaching 23 thousand, which would be a record for us. We thank you for your generosity. This will allow us to continue with our many projects and initiatives, with the theme of Registering our Stories and Creating our Narratives.
As we come into the last three days of our yearly campaign, we would be grateful to all who have generously given if you could reach out to your family and friends and ask that they donate as well. This truly is a community endeavor, and we could set a new record if we continue to receive donations during these last three days. A friend of PBBI-Fresno State told me that he believes we might reach 24 thousand. That would be amazing in many ways. Right now, the effort is to get 23 thousand by Monday morning. Together we can do it.

Hello friends. Thanks so much for all of your donations. Thanks so much for your generosity. We are at over 15 thousand, thanks to all of you who have donated. We are so appreciative of your kind gifts. We have been at a standstill for the last two days, but we are confident that if you would please get in touch with a couple of your friends and ask them to do the same, we could be at 17,500 by this Sunday. I know it is a long climb, but we can do it with your support. Please share the information with your family or friends, and if you use social media, please post on those sites as well.

Hello Friends,
Thank you for the initial support for Portuguese Beyond Borders Institute- Registering Stories!! We have already exceeded our initial goal and raised $7,030. This is a great start to our October campaign, and we still have 25 days left. My personal goal is to have $8,000 raised by the end of Sunday. Because of the incredible support in this first week, I think this weekend's goal is attainable. I am asking you to continue to support PBBI as we raise funds to archive the history of the Portuguese community. Help us bring this culture to the forefront for our students and the Central Valley. Please continue to share the project page with your friends and family, make an additional gift, and come back to the project page each week!

As a Friend, your donation will assist PBBI in the Portuguese oral history collection and all the preparations in getting these into our Collection.
As a Supporter, your donation of $50 can help us achieve the goal of building community through outreach to community organizations to foster more contacts between our students and the community at large, as the students do oral history projects and connect with the Portuguese-American experience.
With a $100 Patron donation, you will assist us to achieve the goal of building community through outreach to community organizations to foster more contacts between our students and the community at large, as the students do oral history projects and connect with the Portuguese-American experience and have more BRUMA publications available for our students.
As a Pillar donor, your $250 dollar donation can help us in the development of tools to train Portuguese “language experts” to become community Portuguese “language teachers” in formal and informal settings (community organizations, libraries, church groups, etc.).
As a Benefactor donor, your $500 donation can be a part of assuring that our conference series and our Bruma publications projects will reach as many students as possible, allowing the students and the community at large to learn about the Portuguese-American experience in our multicultural Valley and State.
As a Legacy donor, you will assist us in bringing Portugal, the Portuguese Speaking cultures, and especially the culture of the Azores through translations, publications, presentations, and talks to our students and our Valley.
