The Rainbow Alumnx and Allies Club (RAAC) is dedicated to advancing advocacy, promoting pride, and supporting our LGBTQ+ students at Fresno State. Each spring, the RAAC supports the Rainbow Graduation commencement ceremony through the purchase of graduation boxes that contain regalia (rainbow tassels, stoles, and medallions) to give to those students who are graduating that year. In 2022, we were able to provide regalia to 90 graduates - a record number!
Through generous donations from the community, we are able to outfit our graduates with regalia at no cost to them. Not only are we assisting these students in showcasing their pride within the LGBTQ+ community and as Fresno State alumnx, but also doing so without the worry that they would be unable to obtain these pieces of regalia otherwise.
With community support, we aim to raise $5,000 which will allow the club to continue outfitting our graduates and showcasing our pride in ourselves and Fresno State. Any additional funds raised will be used to support future LGBTQ+ student events and projects at Fresno State such as Queer Prom, as well as community events such as Transgender Day of Visibility and the Fresno Rainbow Pride Parade and Festival.
With your donation of $50, you can sponsor one student and outfit them in rainbow regalia.
With your donation of $100, you can sponsor two students and outfit them in rainbow regalia.
With your donation of $250, you can sponsor five students and outfit them in rainbow regalia.
With your donation of $500, you can sponsor ten students and outfit them in rainbow regalia.
