The California Water Institute (CWI) addresses water-related issues by engaging Fresno State’s faculty, staff, students, and our collaborative network of water experts. We form teams to pursue current and sustainable water resource management solutions through education, collaboration, and research.
CWI is raising money to provide water-related community outreach, education, training workshops and symposia, student internships focused on community water issues, and faculty research to support community decision-making for water-related infrastructure projects, water management programs, system operating practices and regulatory policies.
Donations from new and returning donors provide continued growth opportunities for the CWI.
Here's an example of one way donations make a difference:
CWI works with students from various colleges within Fresno State and they perform a wide array of duties. Student internships at CWI allow them to gain real-world experience. Their real-world experiences range from planning CSU system conferences, collaborating with contract partnerships, managing budgets, and executing project deliverables. CWI has had past student interns go into their careers to find jobs that they were very well prepared for as a wonderful benefit being involved with CWI. Not only were they prepared for their career, but they were able to get hired from connections they formed from CWI within the community, county, and state.
There's no time like now to invest in one of our most vital resources!
Gives students opportunities to gain valuable water resource management experience!
