For many years, Climate Change has been a concern for the wellbeing of our future on this planet. To this day, it is still debatable by politicians whether or not to take extreme actions on preventing global warming.
The California State University, Fresno Sustainability Club has a mission to create a conscious culture of sustainability on campus and in the Fresno community. Our morals as a club is to effectuate sustainable alternatives for the Fresno State campus to undergo the influence on helping the environment.

Our #1 priority is Earth Day 2021. Due to COVID-19, our club needs additional funding to support Earth Day 2021. Our club established a goal to support every participant with an eco-friendly package gift, while attending Earth Day 2021. We want participants to feel enthusiastic on advocating for environmental change and encourage individuals to live a more eco-friendly lifestyle.
Additional funding goes into supporting for our on-campus recycling project on Fresno State campus.

Did you know about 500 million straws are thrown away everyday? Many of those straws end up hurting underwater ecosystems and our fellow turtles. TIP: Refuse single-use straws and get steel or bamboo straws.
An average person produces about four pounds of trash everyday without separating the recyclable items. TIP: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle
Food scraps in landfills produce greenhouse gases such as methane, if dipose improperly. About 30 percent of food scraps is organic. TIP: Composting organic material such as kitchen waste and yard trimmings, would make great soil for gardening and reduce waste in landfills.
Fast Fashion produces 10% of carbon emissions and wastes 79 trillion liters of water per year. TIP: Shop at secondhand stores or online. Shopping secondhand will help the environment and your wallet!
The biggest landfill in the U.S. is Fairless Morrisville, PA. It produces 3.9 million tons of trash per year. That is equivalent to 557,143 elephants! TIP: Follow the 5 R's to reduce the amount of waste in landfills.
